Handling of Personal Information by Maboroshinosake

Maboroshinosake, as a company, regards it as its social responsibility to appropriately handle information (“personal information”) capable of identifying specific individuals, such as names, addresses and other private information provided by customers. As such, Maboroshinosake will protect personal information in accordance with the policies described in the following items.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information

Maboroshinosake will not use personal information provided by customers when they order products or request services, for purposes other than the following:

Provision and introduction of Maboroshinosake products and services

Collection of Personal Information

When Maboroshinosake asks customers to provide their personal information, Maboroshinosake will collect such information to the extent necessary by specifying the purpose of its use in advance.

Through the registration of personal information by customers and when Maboroshinosake receives inquiries from customers or provides services such as the sending of catalogues pursuant to customer requests, Maboroshinosake asks the names, email addresses, birth dates, etc. of the relevant customers. Maboroshinosake uses such information for the purposes of confirming identity of users and referring to previous transaction records at the time customers use such services.

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Maboroshinosake will not provide third parties with personal information provided by customers except in the case where the provision of the personal information is based on laws or ordinances or other legitimate grounds and in the case mentioned below.

Of the personal information of customers, Maboroshinosake may provide, by way of transmitting electronic data online, its business partners (including business partners located outside Japan) with transaction IDs, names, telephone numbers, email addresses and birth dates to the extent necessary for the purpose of providing or introducing Maboroshinosake products and services.

Management of Personal Information

In this website, incoming information is encrypted with an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) so that the personal information of customers is protected from the danger of loss, destruction and falsification.

Inquiries, Correction and Deletion of Personal Information

When customers wish to inquire about, correct, add to, or delete the personal information registered by them or have any complaints about Maboroshinosake, we request that they contact the point of contact stated in “Point of Contact for Inquiries concerning the Handling of Personal Information.” We will promptly take necessary actions to the extent reasonable. In this regard, please note that we may obtain the personal information of the persons who contact us and, if we do so, we will use such information for the purpose of identifying such persons and taking necessary actions.
